ガーデニング、ランドスケープデザインなど植物に関わるさまざまな分野において、知識や技術、そしてアイデアをたくさんの人と共有し学ぶ機会を広げようと、英国のガーデンデザイナーのアニー・ギルフォイル氏とライターのノエル・キングスベリー氏がGarden Masterclassというオンラインのガーデニング講座を主催しています。

11月17日に予定されている講座では十勝千年の森ヘッドガーデナー新谷みどりと、メドウガーデンやアースガーデンの設計を手掛けた英国のガーデンデザイナー、ダン・ピアソン氏が新しく発売した本をもとに、豊かな自然と共に営むことを大切にしてきた十勝千年の森の庭づくりについて話をします。
西洋と東洋、それぞれに発展してきた文化や園芸手法の中から、この環境に合うものを選び試行錯誤を重ねてきた十勝千年の森。ナチュラリスティックガーデニングの中でも十勝千年の森が独自に発展させてきたユニークなアイデアや取り組みについて紹介します。
